Calling all Young Artists and Writers Between the Ages of 4 to 11!
Each year, selected New Castle County libraries create PAGES, a children’s literary and art magazine, featuring works created by children between the ages 4 – 11.
Young artists and writers can participate in PAGES by submitting a poem, joke, comic, essay, short story, or hand-drawn art or collage on an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. Children can create their submissions at home or at their local library, where art and writing supplies are provided. The submission period begins in the early fall and culminates with the publication of selected entries in late winter.
Submissions are reviewed by library staff and considered for inclusion in PAGES; separate magazines will be produced by each participating library. Artists and writers selected to appear will receive a free copy of PAGES to keep.
The New Castle County libraries PAGES program is free and available to any child ages 4 through 11. For more information, contact your local library!
